For English-speaking Catholics in Bratislava, there is one church in town that celebrates mass every Sunday in the English language. It's a mass that is also home to one of the city's most vibrant church communities, with members coming from nearly every continent. I speak with Father Benjamin Kosnač, the congregation's main pastoral figure, about the life of this unique multi-ethnic faith community as well as a tragedy they underwent not long ago when one of their Filipino members was murdered. I also speak with Petra Paleniková, a Slovak PhD student at Cambridge whose research is focused on something called 'mitochondria' - tiny organs that operate inside living human cells, without which we couldn't live.
